By renting product(s) from temprent you are agreeing to the following conditions of rental & sale.
1. Delivery & Collection
1.1 The Rental period is as selected at point of purchase via the online booking facility.
1.2 temprent will aim to deliver the product(s) within the preferred time slot as selected by the customer. If, due to unforeseen circumstances, delivery cannot be made within the selected time slot, temprent will contact the customer by phone to advise of the delay. The customer will be offered a suitable alternative slot.
1.3 The customer hiring and paying for the product(s) MUST be available to receive the goods. Proof of identify and a recent utility bill or other proof of address (the same as the address of delivery) must be provided prior to equipment being left on the premises.
1.4 Upon delivery, the customer must allow for temprent to run through a demonstration of product use and be prepared to listen to any important rental guidance as necessary. Upon completion, the customer will sign a receipt of goods and instructions form.
1.5 At the end of the hire period, product(s) should be cleaned and stored in a suitable dry location ready for collection by temprent.
1.6 Collection of product will be made as per the agreed collection period. If, due to unforeseen circumstances, collection cannot be made within the agreed time slot, temprent will contact the customer by phone to advise of the delay. The customer will be offered a suitable alternative slot for collection. No further charges will be payable.
2. Product use, damages / theft and charges
2.1 The customer acknowledges that the product(s) remains the property of temprent Ltd.
2.2 The customer acknowledges that the rented product(s) are for private or non-commercial use only and therefore temprent shall have no liability for any loss of profit, loss of business or business opportunity.
2.3 The customer MUST read all relevant instructions prior to using the rented product(s). Failure to do so may lead to injury, damage to property and rented product(s). temprent accepts no liability where the product(s) has/have been misused.
2.4 Temprent will provide a product inspection certificate with the product(s) rented. The certificate will cover electrical safety inspection and testing (where appropriate).
2.5 Care of the product(s) and all accessories whilst on hire will be the responsibility of the customer. General wear and tear is not chargeable to the customer. Product damage caused through misuse will be charged at the same cost to temprent in repairing the product(s) plus the rental period where the product is not available to temprent for rental to its customers. The customer will NOT repair or allow any third party to repair the product(s) and shall advise Temprent as soon as possible if any repair is necessary.
2.6 Loss / theft of product & accessories will be charged to the customer at the current market rate for a replacement product. Theft of Product(s) must be reported to the Police and a crime reference number obtained.
2.7 Costs incurred arising from clause 2.5 and 2.6 will be paid by the customer within 15 days of receiving the invoice from temprent. The invoice will show a detailed breakdown of costs. Payments not made within the 15 day period will be deducted from the debit / credit card used to pay for the original rental.
